#ElectronicxMinnie: Electronic Sheep X Minnie Mélange
To celebrate International Women's Day Electronic Sheep collaborated with Sinéad Burke to create a typographic scarf featuring quotes by women.
Sinéad Burke is a PhD candidate in the School of Education in Trinity College and writer of ‘Minnie Mélange’. Sinéad’s insatiable interest in fashion was borne out of her desire to be included within the domain – not an easy feat when you are 3’5” tall. #ElectronicxMinnie is a typographic scarf that amplifies the voices of extraordinary women in literature, political and activist domains. 15% of the proceeds will be donated to Women's Aid - the national organisation supporting women experiencing domestic violence.
To celebrate the launch of the scarf, Dr Rhona Mahony (National Maternity Hospital), Caroline Downey (MCD), Seana Kerslake (A Date for Mad Mary), Anne Clark (Landmark Productions) and Erica Fleming (RTÉ’s My Homeless Family) joined Sinéad Burke in Coffee Angel’s private coffee rooms for a photoshoot with photographer Emily Quinn and make-up artist Leonard Daly.
Our aim was to start a conversation about the women and the words that inspire, motivate and challenge the wearer. The scarf is €120 and available online here.
