“YOU CAN’T ARGUE WITH YOUR SCRAPBOOK” 

‘Mountain’ mid sized triangle scarf was first made as part of ‘YOU CAN’T ARGUE WITH YOUR SCRAPBOOK’ collection. There were only ever a couple made and there are only one of each colour available from this very limited edition. 
Inspired by Electronic Sheep’s collection of personal scrapbooks and past memories. The ephemera collected over years by the designers ranges from bus tickets, biker stickers, old polaroids/photos to torn wallpaper and drinks labels. Any interesting or meaningful scraps that the designers collected on their travels were stuck in their scrapbooks and notebooks over the years. The clever and playful patterns produced from the contents of the designers’ scrapbooks are translated into intricate jacquards. Pattern devised from a series of packaging closures mixed up with old typographic stencils. Old paper cuttings, chocolate wrappers, pressed flowers and car stickers are depicted on scarves and sweaters in the collection. The designers hand draw all their imagery and create these unusual, complicated jacquards using techniques that they have developed over the last 20 years working closely with a family run manufacturer in Greece.
